OPEB Nomination Papers Available 8/7/20 - 8/28/20

If you would like to be a candidate for membersip of the OPEB Board please follow the instructions attached below if you are an active employee or retired employee of the City. The City accepted Chapter 32B section 20 of the General Laws City Ordinance 850 to setup an OPEB Trust Board. This process was delayed in the Spring due to Covid19. One trustee of the board shall be a retiree of the city selected by the current retirees of the City by ballot. One trustee shall be a city employee selected by the current employees of the city by ballot. Three trustees will be appointed by the Mayor. I as CFO will serve as an Ex-officio member. The School Asst. Superintendent of Finance will serve as an Ex-Officio member. The Treasurer will serve as custodian of the funds. You can let me know by email (anunley@medford-ma.gov) or in writing if you would like to be a candidate on the ballot no later than August 28th.
